OBITUARY
Alice Harrand Di Domizio
Alice P. Di Domizio was born February 21, 1943 to Adolph J. and Myrtle Burns Harrand at St. Francis Hospital in Dutchess County. She was one of four children; David A., deceased 1990; Paul M., deceased 1992; and Eileen Harrand McEreany, deceased early 2000s.
Alice was educated in local schools and was appointed a Senior Medical Laboratory Technologist at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in the mid-70s by the late Martin L. Dreyfuss, M.D. and Francis J. McMahon, M.D., Directors of Pathology. She specialized in hematology and immunology for many years before retiring in the mid-80s.
In 1964 she married the late Francis J. Di Domizio in St. Stanislaus Church in Pleasant Valley, under the vows of Father Herlihe. Of that union, two children were born: John A. Di Domizio in 1968, and Deborah J. Di Domizio Simmons in 1971. Both survive.
Alice and Frank were involved in youth athletics in Hyde Park, golfing, school, church, National Park activities, along with camping throughout the Northeast and spending the winter months in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Alice is also survived by son-in-law, Robert W. Simmons, Jr.; grandson, Brandon Robert Simmons; many nieces, nephews, and “grands” in upper New York State, along with numerous family members in and around the Traver City, Michigan area.
No services are planned at this time.
