I wish to offer my sincere sympathies for the loss of Donnie. He will always be remembered here in the village. He served
his home village well. It was my privilege to interview him for the history files on the celebration of 150 years of volunteer
service of the Garner Fire Company. Donnie was much like the Fie Company in that he gave so much of himself and his time. I found him to be so humble. This is a great loss to our village as well as to his family. May God Bless you all and keep you strong.

Dear Cathy and Family, I just wanted to extend my deepest condolences to you all. Although I knew Don from the fire house because My husband Jerry was a member, I really got to know him through the union at work. When he was the guy in charge of the grievances, I was on the negotiation team so we spend many hours talking at the union hall. After we retired from Wappingers whenever he saw me He would say how lucky we were to be retired and what great benefits we had. He was so right and I am thankful to him for always reminding me of how lucky we were. He was a great Guy and always a gentlemen. He will be sorely missed. Yours Truly Sandra McCluskey.
