Mark J. Pressler, age 52, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., died November 17, 2017 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born in Philadelphia, Pa. November 3, 1965 and moved to Carmel, N.Y. with his parents that same year. He graduated from John Jay High School in 1984 and was hired by Metro North Railroad. A member of Greenhaven Rod and Gun Club, he enjoyed motorcycling, rollerblading and Lake George. He made friends easily and had many. He was a volunteer firefighter at Hughsonville, N.Y. and trained as a Search and Rescue diver before leaving for medical reasons. Mark retired from Metro North as a sheet metal worker at Croton-Harmon. He is survived by his parents Michael and Shirley of Wappingers Falls, siblings Angela Diamanti of Raleigh, N.C. Michelle Borchert of Bloomsburg, PA., Michael Pressler of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Pamela Gray of Warrenton, VA., David Pressler of Hopewell Jct., and numerous extended family.
